Running

Running sessions for adult and junior members (tristars/youths) now take place every Wednesday during the Autumn/Winter except for Holiday periods at the Sobell Centre/Aberdare track. Adult run sessions take place at 7 p.m. Junior run sessions take place at 6 p.m. Sessions on the track incur a small cost payable by the quarter and advertised in advance. In the Summer, Adult run sessions may utilize the grassy areas and surrounding areas of the local park but will not cost anything. The sessions cater for all abilities. You will be expected to run time-trials occasionally as this will give your coaches an opportunity to prescribe the correct interval paces to help you improve.

All sessions last between 50 minutes and 1 hour of running. If the session is not to take place as a result of eg. poor weather, then a notice will be put up on the Club Member for adults or Open Facebook page so that parents/guardians can check. If poor weather is forecast, then you will be expected to check for yourself. Text messages to individual members will not be normal practice.

Remember to dress for the conditions and to bring a drink/water.
